CASTING COMPONENT

Heat-exchanger end cover

Seawater-side water chamber

Distributes seawater into or out of the tube bundle and seals against the exchanger interface. This enquiry concerns the cover casting, not the complete exchanger.

Material options

UNS C95800Nickel-aluminium bronze

An option for seawater-wetted castings where corrosion resistance and strength are important. Casting condition, water quality and flow conditions require review.

C95800 is a candidate for engineering review, not a default replacement for the original cover alloy. Confirm compatibility with the tube sheet, gasket and connected pipework.
