COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS

Y-strainer body

Define the geometry, material, delivery condition and acceptance criteria for the selected application. Manufacturing scope requires review of the approved drawing and operating requirements.

COMPONENT GUIDE

Y-strainer body

Filtration point upstream of designated water-side equipment

Houses the specified strainer element and provides the serviceable cover and pipe interfaces.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Cast body with agreed port and cover-face machining.

The screen is a separate component, often stainless steel. Specify the exact body grade and keep complete-filter performance separate from the housing acceptance.

Material candidates

EN CC491K Leaded tin-zinc bronze / gunmetal

A candidate for specified water-side valve bodies and housings.

Confirm separately from UNS grades. Lead restrictions, medium, material standard and casting route require approval.

UNS C83600 Leaded red brass

A candidate for specified cast valve bodies, covers and connection housings.

An application candidate, not a confirmed equipment bill of materials or available Zhiren grade. Do not default to potable-water use.

UNS C89833 Bismuth tin bronze

A low-lead alternative to consider where the customer approves the material and manufacturing route.

Low-lead chemistry alone does not establish low leaching, potable-water eligibility or complete-product compliance. Qualification belongs to the actual component and service.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Housing arrangement
Provide flow direction, branch angle, element envelope, wall sections and drawing revision.
Screen and cover seats
Define the element location, cover attachment, gasket face and removal clearance.
Connections
Specify end connection standards, dimensions and sealing details.
Service conditions
Identify closed or potable water, glycol and treatment chemicals, pressure and temperature.
Acceptance
Agree pressure-boundary inspection, leak-test method, cleanliness, material records and machining condition.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
