COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS

Pressure-reducing valve body

Define the geometry, material, delivery condition and acceptance criteria for the selected application. Manufacturing scope requires review of the approved drawing and operating requirements.

COMPONENT GUIDE

Pressure-reducing valve body

Pressure-regulating valve approved for the particular water service

Contains the pressure boundary, seat region and flow passages of the specified reducing-valve design.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Cast valve body with drawing-defined machining.

Confirm the actual reducing-valve model and its approved water service. A gunmetal body designation does not extend the design to other water, steam or refrigerant duties.

Material candidates

EN CC491K Leaded tin-zinc bronze / gunmetal

A candidate for specified water-side valve bodies and housings.

Confirm separately from UNS grades. Lead restrictions, medium, material standard and casting route require approval.

UNS C83600 Leaded red brass

A candidate for specified cast valve bodies, covers and connection housings.

An application candidate, not a confirmed equipment bill of materials or available Zhiren grade. Do not default to potable-water use.

UNS C89833 Bismuth tin bronze

A low-lead alternative to consider where the customer approves the material and manufacturing route.

Low-lead chemistry alone does not establish low leaching, potable-water eligibility or complete-product compliance. Qualification belongs to the actual component and service.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Approved valve model
Identify the water-service design, flow direction, body drawing and regulator/bonnet interface.
Inlet and outlet duty
Provide inlet and outlet pressure requirements, operating temperature and transient conditions for OEM review.
Medium
Supply water quality, glycol or treatment chemistry and any potable-water requirements.
Seat and connections
Define seat datums, thread or flange standards, sealing faces and machining allowance.
Acceptance responsibility
Allocate body leakage/defect checks and complete-valve regulating validation; state material and batch documents.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
