COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS

Manifold block — casting-route study

Define the geometry, material, delivery condition and acceptance criteria for the selected application. Manufacturing scope requires review of the approved drawing and operating requirements.

COMPONENT GUIDE

Manifold block — casting-route study

Compact manifold body supported by a customer drawing

Compares a near-net cast body with an approved machined-stock route for a particular distribution layout.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Potential near-net casting plus machining and cleaning; bar/plate machining remains a separate route.

Long rack manifolds are not automatically copper castings. Casting-route acceptance and cleanability must be demonstrated for the actual design.

Material candidates

UNS C81100 Cast copper

A possible manufacturing-study material only after the customer accepts a cast-copper route.

Development candidate only. Obtain written customer approval for the alloy and manufacturing route, then validate the actual coolant, complete wetted-material set, cleanliness and leakage requirements. This grade has no assumed approval for a technology cooling system.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Compact body layout
Provide the passage network, port positions, plugs/covers, machining datums and installation envelope.
Manufacturing comparison
State the approved baseline route and whether a cast-copper proposal is acceptable.
Cleaning access
Identify enclosed features, removal/inspection access, residual-core risks and internal-surface requirements.
Loop and material
Specify FWS/TCS identity, coolant and all wetted materials with written material approval.
Functional validation
Allocate flow distribution, pressure drop, leakage and cleaning acceptance, with criteria supplied by the OEM.
Sample release
Define quantity, material/inspection records, packaging and the approval needed before repeat manufacture.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
