COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS

Flow-distribution housing

Define the geometry, material, delivery condition and acceptance criteria for the selected application. Manufacturing scope requires review of the approved drawing and operating requirements.

COMPONENT GUIDE

Flow-distribution housing

Drawing-defined multiport distribution position within approved equipment

A development study for a compact multiport body whose passages and cleaning access may support a casting route.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Assess castability and internal cleaning before machining and washing; compare machined-block and fabricated alternatives.

A welded, additively made or machined distributor must not be labelled an investment casting. No residue-free result is presumed.

Material candidates

UNS C81100 Cast copper

A possible manufacturing-study material only after the customer accepts a cast-copper route.

Development candidate only. Obtain written customer approval for the alloy and manufacturing route, then validate the actual coolant, complete wetted-material set, cleanliness and leakage requirements. This grade has no assumed approval for a technology cooling system.

UNS C89833 Bismuth tin bronze

A low-lead alternative to consider where the customer approves the material and manufacturing route.

Development candidate only. Obtain written customer approval for the alloy and manufacturing route, then validate the actual coolant, complete wetted-material set, cleanliness and leakage requirements. This grade has no assumed approval for a technology cooling system.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Passage and port map
Supply all branches, connections, wall sections, flow directions and the approved 3D/section drawings.
Route approval
Confirm whether casting is allowed and identify the baseline machined or fabricated design for comparison.
Internal access
Define core/shell removal access, enclosed passages, inspection access and internal-surface acceptance.
Wetted compatibility
Specify coolant, loop identity, material/coating/seal set and the customer's written alloy approval.
Cleaning and leak checks
Define particle, ion and residue limits, cleaning evidence, leak method/limits and responsible parties.
Prototype decision
Set sample quantity, acceptance gates, traceability and any flow-distribution validation before production approval.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
