CASTING COMPONENT

Shaft seal cover / gland

Pump shaft-sealing assembly

Retains or locates the specified sealing arrangement around the shaft. The gland casting does not include a complete mechanical seal.

Material options

EN CC491K · CuSn5Zn5Pb5-CLeaded gunmetal

Used in pump and valve castings for its castability, machinability and corrosion resistance. Confirm service conditions and any restrictions on lead.

UNS C95800Nickel-aluminium bronze

An option for seawater-wetted castings where corrosion resistance and strength are important. Casting condition, water quality and flow conditions require review.

Select the grade against the drawing, duty conditions and applicable material standard. These candidates are not interchangeable and do not establish confirmed manufacturing scope.
