Strainer housing

Seawater intake or circulation pipework

Contains the removable basket and directs seawater through it. The basket, cover and housing may use different materials.

Material options

UNS C84400Leaded semi-red brass

Used in some marine strainer housings. Offers good casting and machining characteristics; seawater service and lead restrictions require project-specific review.

Alloy grade, governing material standard, casting condition and any restricted substances.
Order & acceptance
Drawing revision, quantity, delivery condition, critical tolerances, inspection methods and required documentation.
