CASTING COMPONENT

Bronze worm-wheel blank

Worm reduction drive

Provides the casting blank from which the bronze worm wheel is finished. Tooth cutting and finished-gear acceptance must be specified separately.

Material options

UNS C90700Tin bronze

A candidate for gear and worm-wheel blanks. Specify tooth finishing, mating gear, lubrication and duty rather than selecting from alloy name alone.

UNS C95400Aluminium bronze

A candidate for bearing, gear and wear components where strength and wear resistance are important. Check lubrication, counterface material and service conditions.

Select the grade against the drawing, duty conditions and applicable material standard. These candidates are not interchangeable and do not establish confirmed manufacturing scope.

Information for your quotation
