COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS

Valve bonnet / cover

Define the geometry, material, delivery condition and acceptance criteria for the selected application. Manufacturing scope requires review of the approved drawing and operating requirements.

COMPONENT GUIDE

Valve bonnet / cover

Valve closure and stem-exit region

Closes the specified valve body and locates the stem, packing or cover seal.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Cast cover with agreed machining where a casting is specified; some designs use forged parts.

Do not infer cast-bronze construction from a bronze valve body. The bonnet may use a different alloy and manufacturing form.

Material candidates

EN CC491K Leaded tin-zinc bronze / gunmetal

A candidate for specified water-side valve bodies and housings.

Confirm separately from UNS grades. Lead restrictions, medium, material standard and casting route require approval.

UNS C83600 Leaded red brass

A candidate for specified cast valve bodies, covers and connection housings.

An application candidate, not a confirmed equipment bill of materials or available Zhiren grade. Do not default to potable-water use.

UNS C89833 Bismuth tin bronze

A low-lead alternative to consider where the customer approves the material and manufacturing route.

Low-lead chemistry alone does not establish low leaching, potable-water eligibility or complete-product compliance. Qualification belongs to the actual component and service.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Bonnet geometry
Provide cover profile, mounting thread or bolt pattern, body register and drawing datums.
Stem and packing
Define bore, packing arrangement, stem clearance and required coaxiality.
Sealing interface
Specify gasket profile, contact-face finish, flatness and machining allowance.
Material and duty
Confirm actual wetted surfaces, service temperature/pressure and any potable-water material approval.
Supply scope
State casting or approved alternative route, machining condition, inspection records and batch identification.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
