COMPONENT GUIDE

Roll-neck / auxiliary bushing

Roll-neck or auxiliary shaft support with an approved bronze-bushing design.

Provides a specified sleeve-bearing interface around the relevant shaft.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Cast tube or sleeve blank with agreed machining; large-component route requires review.

Roll-neck bearing systems may use rolling elements, composites or other designs. Assess these candidates only where the approved drawing specifies a bronze bushing.

Material candidates

UNS C93200 Leaded tin bronze

Candidate for lubricated bushings, bearings and thrust interfaces.

Contains lead. Confirm load, speed, shaft condition and lubrication; no dry-running capability is implied.

UNS C93700 High-leaded tin bronze

Candidate for specified lubricated bearing interfaces.

Contains lead. Higher lead content does not establish a suitable load capacity; confirm the equipment specification.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Bearing identity
Equipment model, bearing type, shaft position and approved drawing.
Sleeve geometry
Bore, outside diameter, length, grooves and fit requirements.
Shaft & duty
Mating shaft condition, load, speed and operating clearance.
Oil & temperature
Lubrication arrangement, oil supply and actual part temperature.
Material & acceptance
Specified alloy and standard, supply condition, drawing revision, quantity, inspection criteria and required records.
Supply form
Cast tube or sleeve blank with agreed machining; large-component route requires review.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
