COMPONENT GUIDE

Fire pump wear ring

Drawing-defined replaceable clearance interface between impeller and casing

Provides the specified replaceable ring at a pump running-clearance interface.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Ring-shaped casting blank or machined bar/tube stock, as agreed.

A pump wear ring is not a mechanical-seal face ring. Material, clearance and mating surfaces must be reviewed together, including standby duty.

Material candidates

UNS C90500 Tin bronze

A candidate for specified pump and valve components.

Review the actual medium, mating materials and manufacturing condition. Material data do not establish component pressure, wear life or pump performance.

UNS C95800 Nickel aluminium bronze

A candidate for approved saline-water pump and wear-component designs.

Confirm actual water chemistry, mating alloy, required material condition and equipment approval; no automatic equivalence with CC333G or C95400.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Ring geometry
Define inside/outside diameters, width, steps, retention and machining allowance.
Running fit
Specify the OEM clearance, mating-ring material, hardness relationship and temperature basis.
Geometric acceptance
Provide roundness, concentricity, surface finish and drawing datums.
Water and operating duty
Identify water chemistry, rotating speed, standby/start conditions and any wear concern.
Approved supply form
Confirm cast blank or stock route, final machining, material records and OEM replacement approval.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
