COMPONENT GUIDE

Liquid-cooling filter housing

Specified filtration location on a CDU or facility-water circuit

A housing-route study around the OEM's filter element, service access and contamination-control requirements.

Manufacturing & delivery form
Potential complex casting with machining and cleaning; compare approved stainless-steel or other routes.

Filtration performance belongs to the complete filter design. Submit the approved housing material and manufacturing specification; copper alloy is not a default selection.

Material candidates

UNS C89833 Bismuth tin bronze

A low-lead alternative to consider where the customer approves the material and manufacturing route.

Development candidate only. Obtain written customer approval for the alloy and manufacturing route, then validate the actual coolant, complete wetted-material set, cleanliness and leakage requirements. This grade has no assumed approval for a technology cooling system.

UNS C81100 Cast copper

A possible manufacturing-study material only after the customer accepts a cast-copper route.

Development candidate only. Obtain written customer approval for the alloy and manufacturing route, then validate the actual coolant, complete wetted-material set, cleanliness and leakage requirements. This grade has no assumed approval for a technology cooling system.

Confirm the drawing, actual duty, material standard and manufacturing condition. Material substitutions require customer approval, and supply scope is agreed after component review.

Component RFQ requirements

Filter location and element
Identify FWS/TCS side, element design, removal access, retention and filter-seat geometry.
Material and coolant
Provide the approved wetted-material list, coolant composition and accepted housing manufacturing routes.
Housing layout
Define passages, ports, cover joint, wall sections, machining datums and internal access.
Contamination criteria
Specify particle limits, residual machining/casting material, surface acceptance and cleaning verification.
Sealing acceptance
Define operating conditions, cover-seal requirements, leak-test method/limits and verification responsibility.
Sample release
Provide prototype quantities, material and inspection records, packaging and customer approval gates.

Start with your drawing, specified alloy and quantity. Include the required delivery condition and acceptance records so the manufacturing and inspection scope can be reviewed.
